Operated by: 1990s to 2000s: Mr J R Rowbottom

Activities: 1990s to 2000s: GA private, microlights and gyros

Location: N part of RAF MELBOURNE WW2 airfield & 6nm SSW of RAF POCKLINGTON

Period of operation: 1980s to 2000s only?

Runways: In 1990: 06/24   1624x46   hard

There is another hard runway 18/36 approx. 1100x46 hard only for emergency use presumably due to poor condition

2001: 06/24   1624x46   hard

NOTES: A 1991 and 2001 flight guide advises 06/24 runway is used for drag racing in summer.

Looking at the pictures above in detail, it seems hard to imagine that any flying continued much into the 21st century? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated. As will any pictures of GA activity on this site.
