Methven Castle

Notes; This map only shows my estimation of where this airfield was within the UK. If anybody can either confirm this, or provide a more accurate location, this advice will be most welcome.

METHVEN CASTLE: Satellite Landing Ground     (Aka RAF METHVEN)

Military user: 24 SLG  (Administered by 44 MU RAF EDZELL, later at RAF KINNELL in 1945)

Location: Just N of the A85 about 5nm WNW of Perth town centre

Period of operation: 1940 to 1945 only?

NOTES: It appears that many light non-operational wooden types like Percival Proctors previously stored at PERTH/SCONE were moved here in about 1940/1941? Are more details of this site  known today? Presumably the site was operational for three or four years?
