METTINGHAM: Temporary aerodrome
 

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1933 No.2 Tour of the UK
 

Location: Annis Hill, Mettingham, 1nm ENE of Bungay

Period of operation: 27th September 1933

 

NOTES: The aircraft arrived from Ely, (CAPTAIN WILSON’S FIELD - CAMBRIDGESHIRE), during the morning and just after noon operations started, (including a flying display), with passenger or ‘Joy-ride’ flights carrying on till dusk. The following morning they departed for SAFFRON WALDEN in ESSEX.
