NOTES: ONE AND THE SAME?
During my research over some twenty years, (by 2016 that is), I have found three references to an airstrip in this area - but - are they one and the same? The first mention was of an Auster J/1 Autocrat G-AIPW belonging to a Mr E M P Casman and based at 'CLEE HILL' during the mid 1970s. However, I have also found MILSON and CLEOBURY MORTIMER referred to as 'CLEE HILL', which should be spelt as one word if referring to the village.

This comment was written on: 2018-07-01 21:02:37I would be obliged if you could amend your current, very outdated, entry about Milson Airstrip, based at Little Down Farm, Milson, Kidderminster. DY14 0BD which has been my home for the past 18 years. The airstrip has certain planning conditions imposed upon it, and is open to visitors on a strictly PPR basis. We are allowed up to 10 based aircraft, and usually have a waiting list. In addition to fixed and rotary wing traffic the airstrip is also used for model flying, and we have 2 large scale model aero-tow events annually, which are notammed. If you wish to use Milson as a base to visit local attractions such as Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow, we can arrange accomodation. For more details please visit the website, www.milsonairstrip.co.uk, which has an email(BeeMail) link or telephone on 01584 890486, which is the contact for PPR.

Dear Chris, I am very happy to add your advice and information, and many thanks. I do however think it is rather unfair to criticise an historical Guide for being 'out of date'. I do make the point on the front page that this 'Guide' is most certainly not a 'Pilots Flight Guide' and should never be used as such. Best regards, Dick
