Note:  The aerial view was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database. We do not know the exact location of the airstrip.

Operator: Captain the Right Honourable Freddie Guest, Secretary of State for Air (1912). Later Squadron Leader in the RAuxAF, (Royal Auxiliary Air Force), who lived at Canford House.

Location: Just S of the A341, in/near Canford Magna, roughly 5nm NNE of Poole town centre. Now known as Canford Park Sports and Country Park

Period of operation: 1921 to the mid 1930s

NOTES:  The really great aspect of having a web-site is that it can constantly be amended, information, maps and pictures added. And indeed, new locations are constantly being listed every week. I have been researching this project for over twenty five years and this location was first listed many years ago - with some incorrect details acquired along the way. New information came to light in 2022 and therefore this listing has subsequently been updated.

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
