Note: This map only gives my estimate of where this airfield was situated. If anybody could kindly either confirm this location, or offer a more exact position, this advice will be most welcome.


MOUNTNESSING: Military Landing Ground

Military user: RFC  (Royal Flying Corps)

39 [Home Defence] Sqdn  (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c, possibly the B.E.12 types later?)
 

Location: Possibly just NW of Mountnessing on the old Roman Road, once the A12, now the B1002, about 3.5nm NE of Brentwood town centre

Period of operation: 1916 only it seems (April to December)
 

NOTES: Replaced by PALMERS FARM it seems.
