MUNDESLEY: Launch site for hang-gliders and paragliders (Aka TRIMINGHAM BEACH)

Location: N of the B1159, just NW(ish) of Mundesley, about 6nm ESE to SE of Cromer town centre
Period of operation: Unknown? Certainly used, it appears, during the 1990s

It has been, right from the start of this project over twenty years ago, to try and record as many flying sites of all kinds within the UK. Hang-gliding and paragliding sites are very important, not least because a direct connection historically can be traced to, for example. the early gliding experiments made by Otto Lilienthal, (23.05.1848 to 10.08.1896), conducted in Germany during the latter half of the 19th century.
