New Hall

Note: The map gives only an approximate location.

             NEW HALL: Gliding site

Operated by: Derby Sailplane Club

Location: Near Ruabon

Period of operation: 1930s only?

Runways: Large fields

NOTES: I strongly suspect that the Derby Sailplane Club used this location for a 'summer holiday' venue. It was not uncommon in the 1920s and 30s for gliding clubs to pack up their aircraft and head off far away to experience flying from another site.
