56 Sqdn    (Hawker Typhoons*)
 

Location: W to NW of Newchurch village, 7nm SSE of Ashford

Period of operation: 1943 to 1945
 

Runways: Steel matting    17/35   1280   grass            08/26   1463   grass



*NOTES: It might be that 56 Sqdn were flying the Hawker Tempest when stationed here?
