Newnham

NEWNHAM: Private airstrip

Location: E of the village of Newnham which itself is about 1nm NE of junction 10 on the A1(M)

Period of operation: 1990s (?) to -

Runway: Roughly E/W   750x15   grass
(If I have correctly identified this site on Google Earth the runway length is 600m and the orientation 08/26)

NOTES: Info source AAIB report EW/C99/3/1. Base for Whittaker MW-6S G-MZIN in 1999. Possible base for Staaken Z-21A Flitzer G-ERTI in 2012?

NEWNHAM later featured in another AAIB report EW/C2012/05/03 involving the Team Minimax 93 G-CBPL. Worth looking at because the circumstances are quite unusual.
