Nonsuch Park

NONSUCH PARK: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: CWA Scott’s Flying Displays 1936 Tour

Location: Large park area, (still existing), W of Cheam

Period of operation: 25th July 1936

NOTES: Can you imagine my childlike delight on discovering there really is such a park as NONSUCH PARK and it still exists!

King Henry VIII built a magnificent palace here which existed from 1538 to 1682/3.

There's a nice photo of the park on Britain from Above - EPW058805 - taken in 1938.
