NORTH HYDE ROAD: Company airfield

Operated by: The Fairey Company

Location: Just SE of Hayes town centre

Period of operation: WW1 initially, although there are reports of much later, (post WW2), helicopter activity here. Possibly this could be the McAlpine heliport base in nearby Swallowfield Way?

NOTES: During WW1 there are reports that another nearby field was also used by Fairey. See CLAYTON ROAD.
