NORTH MORETON: Private airstrip
Note: All three of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©
Operated by: Mr Peter Vacher
Location: E of North Moreton village, about 2.5nm SW of Wallingford
Period of operation: From the early 2000s?

2009 (Eastern) 16/34 830 grass
2009 (Western) 16/34 720 grass
NOTES: A look at this location on 'Google Earth' is rather interesting as it appears to show, by 2009, two possible runways, running in parallel and roughly 130 metres apart, the easternmost runway seeming to be the favoured and longest?
In recent years the base for the famous Piper PA-28-236 Dakota, G-FRGN, flown by Polly Varcher on at least two record breaking flights. Look up Polly's amazing achievements on Google. You can see an air-to-air picture of G-FRGN taken by the author if you look at the WYCOMBE AIR PARK listing.
I was interested to read the AAIB report EW/G2015/05/11 when G-FRGN was 'pranged' here by a male of the species. Obviously I cannot possibly know, but, if this was Polly's husband, I suspect she was not much pleased.
