STAR ATTRACTION
Without too much doubt the 'star' attraction at the British Hospitals Air Pageant, was the arrival of the DH.84 Dragon Seafarer (G-ACCV) which, arrived here on its initial trial flight it seems. This heavily modified Dragon was the aircraft in which Jim and Amy Mollison were to attempt the first ever non-stop flight from the UK to New York. It appears that Jim Mollison nicknamed the all-black painted Dragon "The Flying Coffin", adding, "...it only needed brass handles to look like the real thing." See PENDINE SANDS (CARMARTHENSHIRE).
