Location:  Just NE of the B3002 and Broxhead Farm Road, just N of Lindford village

Period of operation:  1973 to 1985?


 

NOTES: As said elsewhere private helipads are ten a penny today but back in the mid 1970s they were still a rarity, hence my mentioning this site where it appears the Bell 47H-1 G-AZYB was based - a classic helicopter type, (perhaps the first classic helicopter?), which starred in TV series like The Whirlybirds and MASH.
