Operated by: Mr Rob Keene   (Amended - see 'Comment' below)

Flying school:  Over Farm Microlights

Location: N of the A40, W of the A417, roughly 2nm NW of Gloucester city centre

Period of operation:  Circa 1980s (?) to -

Runway: 16/34   410   grass

Added circa 2009:  02/20, later  03/21   225   grass

NOTES: My initial notes, many years ago, were: No info available.  Then mentions were found relating to the AAIB reports EW/G2007/07/16 and EW/C2009/04/02. Then in August 2011 a mention plus pictures of the Team Mini-Max G-CGGX, built by Paul Parry, appeared in Light Aviation magazine when it made its first flight and subsequent test flying in the hands of John Hamer.

In February 2021 I was kindly contacted by Mr Mike Seal who lived nearby around 35 to 40 years ago, and he tells us that he remembers a light aircraft, probably a microlight or gyrocopter taking off from here. So clearly it would seem, this site has been in operation for quite a long time. As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly add further advice, this will be most welcome.

The Strip is owned and operated by Rob Keene. There is a very short (200m) 02/20 grass runway but should only be used with caution in strong winds.
