NOTES:  Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', tells us that the Cessna F150F G-ATMB was based here. Registered from 04.04.66 to 07.11.78. The Hughes 269A G-ASBD was also based here, registered from 17.11.78 until 16.05.83 when it was involved in a fatal crash. This aircraft had an interesting early history when registered to Westland Aircraft Ltd at YEOVIL, from 11.07.62 to 14.10.64. Originally being test flown as G-17-1 according to some sources, and for a short period having the military serial XS685.

As an aside, when looking up the history, which I often do for this 'Guide', I found that another Hughes 269A, G-ASBL, also registered to Westland Aircraft from 29.06.62 to 14.10.64 is also recorded as having the 'B' marking of G-17-1. Although not the purpose of this 'Guide' to look into such details, I rather doubt that both of these aircraft carried the same identity?

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Pictures are of course much appreciated.
