Rhuddlan Golf Course
RHUDDLAN GOLF COURSE: Unofficial ELG
NOTES: There appears to be sufficient proof that, amongst military pilots anyway, this golf course was regarded as being a suitable ‘Emergency Landing Ground’ and indeed used as such despite the proven suitably of the nearby ABERKINSEY site, used by the Alan Cobham tour organisation.
It could of course be simply that grazing animals at ABERKINSEY blocked the site until taken on by Utility Airways in 1937/38.
