Operated by:  West Yorkshire Model Flying Club

Location:  About 0.75nm SSE to SE of Ripponden town centre. Roughly 5nm SW of Halifax town centre and 6nm WNW of Huddersfield town centre

Period of operation:  1973 to -

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. I must admit that initially I was rather confused because the site only appeared to have been operating since about 2021. However, all became clear when I looked back at older Google Earth © pictures, zoomed out a bit, and the previous site came into view, just to the south-west.

The Club celebrated its 50th anniversary of flying from this location in 2023. It was originally formed back in 1969 as Spenborough Aeronautical Society before moving to this location in 1973. As always if anybody can offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Pictures are very much appreciated.
