NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for this information. It concerns the 'Norfolk Air Race' held on the 11th September 1982, involving a type of aeroplane I did not know had even existed. A powered version of a foot-launched hang-glider, and I suppose, in effect, a stepping-stone in the evolution of the hang-glider into the flex-wing microlights so popular today.

The race course was quite ambitious, a real test for such quite primitive designs. Starting from the Royal Norfolk Show Grounds, the first landing site was SNETTERTON. Presumably they needed to refuel at each waypoint? The next venue was LANGHAM and the penultimate NORTH REPPS. To cap it all a spot-landing competition was arranged for those who made it back to the starting point.

As always, if anybody can kindly offer more advice and information, this will be most welcome. Any pictures of the event will be very much appreciated.
