Rugeley

Note: This map only shows the position of Rugeley within the UK.

RUGELEY: Temporary aerodrome

NOTES: Used by the Berkshire Aviation Co in October 1921.

The Berkshire Aviation Co, based at EAST HANNEY in BERKSHIRE until 1925, was the first to pioneer the travelling 'Flying Circus' concept in the UK. As a general rule they appeared to have stayed a few days at each venue whereas the later and larger 'Flying Circus' operators usually stayed just one day or two days at most it seems.

As you can see I have virtually no information regarding this venue so if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
