51 [Home Defence] Sqdn    (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2 and B.E.12, possibly later flying the Avro 504K here?)

75 [Home Defence] Sqdn   (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c and F.E.2b, later possibly flying the Avro 504K and Sopwith Pup here?)
 

Location: W of A1017, W of Southey Green, 1nm SW to SSW of Hedingham. Later this site formed the NW part of the WW2 RAF GOSFIELD airfield

Period of operation: 1916 to 1919
 

Site area: 38 acres       549 x 366
