Note: These four pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: Just NNE of Owlesbury, roughly 3.5nm SE of Winchester city centre

Period of operation: 1990s(?) to -

Runway: 06/24   600   grass

NOTES:  As these pictures show, there is quite an unusual feature, in as much as what might be a taxiway, or possibly another runway, splits off south roughly halfway along the 06/24 runway. Any advice will be most welcome.

In October 2020 I was kindly contacted by Mr Ed Matthews who confirmed that there is just the strip here.

Re: South Longwood Farm, I flew from here with the owner in his Piper Cub in around 1998/1999 on a short flight towards Petersfield and back again. It was just the farmhouse and the one hangar and aircraft back then, as depicted in the aerial shot from 2000. The increased hangar space and larger apron appear to be home to a light aircraft maintenance company now according to Bing. I believe this is also the strip you refer to in the separate Owslebury entry.
