Stoke d Abernon

Note: This map only shows the position of Stoke d'Abernon, (also spelt Stoke D'Abernon), within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location, this advice will be most welcome.

STOKE D’ABERNON: Military airstrip/airfield

Military user: Detachment of 110 (RCAF) Sqdn (Westland Lysanders)

Location: Near Stoke D’Abernon village on the A307, (on the Polo Ground perhaps?), roughly 3nm N of Leatherhead town centre. Later information suggests this could be elsewhere nearby

Period of operation: From September to October 1940 only?
