Location: Roughly 3nm SW of Crawfordjohn which is on the B740, roughly 2.5nm W of junction 13 on the M74

Period of operation: From around 2004?

Landing area: Orientated roughly E/W the maximum landing run is:   06/24   400   grass

NOTES: Info source, AAIB report EW/G2014/02/07. It appears the Rotorsport UK MTOsport G-GSMT was based here - or was it just visiting?

The farm has a cottage to rent (Stonehill Cottage) near the airstrip and has its own website.

This was my friend's farm and airstrip. Chris Jackson is his name and I served in the Royal Navy with him. He had a flexwing microlight (GT450 Quik) then a gyrocopter. He sold Stonehill farm (which includes the airstrip) just a few years ago and moved to Rothsay.
