Military user: 26 SLG (RAF)

Location: Just E of the B9131, roughly 3nm SE of St Andrews town centre

Period of operation:  1940 to 1945

Runway(s):    The maximum landing run appears to be:    13/31   860   grass

NOTES: Administered by 44 MU at RAF EDZELL, possibly later in 1945 when 44 MU moved to RAF KINNELL?

It appears that aircraft types using this location varied from Hawker Hurricanes, Vickers Wellingtons and Handley Page Halifaxes. But, regarding the latter especially, these aircraft would not be fully loaded. Indeed, empty and with a light fuel load and a minimum of crew.
