Sutton St Edmund

SUTTON St EDMUND:   Private airstrip

Location:  Unknown?   The village of Sutton St Edmund is about 3.5nm SE of FENLAND aerodrome, and roughly 6nm WNW of Wisbech town centre

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for discovering a link to this location. He found a picture of the Luton LA4A Luton Minor, G-BBEA, captioned as being taken here on the 12th July 1988.

As the main purpose of this 'Guide' is to try and record as many flying sites as possible within the UK, this is clearly worth a mention. But, as so often there is it seems, no evidence readily available, as to where this airstrip was?

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
