Swadlincote

Note: This map only shows the position of Swadlincote within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide an exact location, this advice will be most welcome.

SWADLINCOTE: Temporary aerodrome

NOTES: On the 17th July 1935 Sir Alan Cobham’s No.1 Tour were booked to display in/near Swadlincote. Presumably they achieved this but where did they perform?

As said elsewhere the degree to which the Cobham Tours zig-zagged across the Country often makes little sense. The day before they were supposed to be at MORTON in LINCOLNSHIRE and the day after in SUTTON-on-SEA on the east coast of LINCOLNSHIRE.
