Temple Bruer flying sites

Note: This map should hopefully show the location of the private airstrip, clearly showing on Google Earth.

TEMPLE BRUER see also GRIFFINS FARM

TEMPLE BRUER: Military Landing Ground         (Could be WELLINGORE?)

Military user: RAF Flying Training Command

2 FTS [Flying Training School]     (Avro 504s)

Location: Similar if not same as listed below?

Period of operation: 1929 only?

TEMPLE BRUER: Private airfield        (Also known as FOUR WINDS FARM)

Operated by: 1980s to 2000: Mr D A Porter

Location: 1nm W of A15, 1.5nm N of A15/B1191 junction, 3.5nm NNW of CRANWELL

Runway: 1990/2000: 08/26   550x37   grass ]
2001: 08/26   550x20   grass

NOTES: Rather unusually Temple Bruer seems to be an area of land rather than a village which makes the strip tricky to locate. Some records say it’s only 2.5nm NNW of CRANWELL
