Operated by:   Mr J M Chapman

Location:  Just NNE of Ellaston village on the B5032, about 4nm WSW of Ashbourne town centre

Period of operation:  Presumably (?) 2017 to 2021

Runway:  It appears that take-offs and landings were probably conducted in a very roughly north to south direction?

The 2021 picture appears to show a strip:  01/19   300   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location.

The Groppo Trail G-ROPO was registered to Mr Chapman at this address from 12.12.2017 to 07.07.2020. So, it seems reasonable to suppose it was based here during that period?

It has been very much part of producing this 'Guide' to list and celebrate the fabulous history we have in the U.K. regarding private airstrips and airfields. No other country in the world has anything equal compared to area and population.

As always, advice and information is most welcome, and pictures much appreciated.
