The Rectory Farm

Note: This map only shows the position of Saunderton within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location, this advice will be much appreciated.

THE RECTORY FARM: British Army temporary Air Station

Location: In/near Saunderton, about 4.5nm NW of Wycombe

Period of operation: 1913 only?

NOTES: In 1913 major Army manoeuvres were taking place over a very large area. It seems that as part of this military enterprise an airfield was established at THE RECTORY FARM near Saunderton. A picture exists of a Farman Biplane landing here.
