Location:  Just N of the old A30, nearly 1nm SE of Whimple.  About 3.5nm NE of Exeter airport

Period of operation:  c.2010 to -

NOTES:  It has to be said that working on this 'Guide' has been an education in itself. When I came across this location I immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was being redeveloped as an upmarket hotel or country club etc. So, having done the groundwork for the listing, I decided to see if I could determine its exact function. Turns out, in March 2023, that it is for sale as a private residence!

Way, way outside my means of course, so whom might it appeal to? Maybe a country retreat for a Russian oligarch perhaps? Or a retirement home for a deposed African despot? Both the sort of immigrant much favoured by the British Government and the Establishment - or is that being too cynical?

As a general rule, I tend to ignore helipads for private homes, mainly because there are too many. Still, as they say, every rule has its exceptions, and this seemed to be a good enough example.
