The aerial view was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location: Just E of the A6, just SE of Thiefside, about 2nm N ot NNW of Plumpton village and roughly 10nm SSE of Carlisle town centre

Period of operation:  1950s only?

Landing runs:  I suspect that in those days no prepared strips were laid out? More of a traditional 'all over' field?

If so the distances for landing would be, about:  E/W   440        NW/SE   560         SW/NE   470

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location.

If anybody can kindly add more advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
