Note:  The first three pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just NE of Thorne, 5nm SSW of Goole town centre and 11nm NE of Doncaster town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Perhaps from the 1980s (?) until around 2010? Then, with a new strip, from around 2022(?) to -

Runway(s):  The original strip (?) was, until around 2010 =   17/35   700   grass

The new strip is:   08/26   800   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. It appears that the Piper PA-28-181 Cherokee Archer II, G-MALA, (ex G-TSAS), was based here from 02.07.84 until 16.04.93. It was also noted some time ago, and a fairly unusual event at a private airstrip I think,  that the Belgian PA-28 OO-VFX paid a visit.
