THORNESS BAY: Microlight strip
 

Location: Roughly 2.5nm SW of Cowes?


NOTES: This is rather frustrating. There seems to be quite a bit of information mentioning this site around, but nothing defining its exact nature and position.

Looking at Google Earth in 2017 there does appear evidence of a short strip orientated 03/21 and about 190 metres long east of the Thorness Holiday Park, so this is where the map above is aimed. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
