Throckmorton

THROCKMORTON: Microlight airstrip

Location: Throckmorton village is about 2.5nm NE of Pershore, about 1.5nm N of the A44. Without much doubt on the NE corner of the WW2 RAF PERSHORE airfield

NOTES: Info source AAIB report EW/G2009/04/16.

A ‘H4H’ Charity Air show was planned for the 23rd June 2013, but later appears scheduled for the 8th June. It appears the event, over the years, has become very popular.

There appears to be one problem though - looking at Google Earth images over the period 2000 to 2018, I can see no evidence of an airstrip. Was a stretch of runway on ex-RAF PERSHORE being used? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
