Location: S of Throwley Forstal, E of Tong Green, about 1nm W of the A251, roughly 5nm SSW of Faversham town centre

Note: I can find no mention of Tong Green on modern maps.


Period of operation: WW1: 1916 to 1919     Then apparently re-opened in the mid 1920s? Apparently then operational until 1943?
 

Site area: 87 acres       823 x 503

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Possibly 1990s (?) until c.2010?


Runway:  09/27   390   grass

My late father Herbert Dickman served with both the RFC and the RAF in 112 Squadron in 1918 and possibly in 1917 at Throwley, Kind regards, Geoff Dickman
