Note:  The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The text was provided by Graham Frost.

Operated by:  Tranby Croft Flying Club

Location:  N of the A1105, about 4nm W to WSW of Hull city centre

Period of operation: Not known?  Roughly late 1980s to early 1990s?

Runway: Initially perhaps - 09/27   660   grass    (Later intended to be extended - possibly up to 960 metres?)

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location. It appears that the Tranby Croft Flying Club comprised five aircraft. Quite why anybody would consider a strip/airfield in this location a viable concern, seems to beggar belief, and needless to say local opposition soon put paid to this enterprise.
