No.51 [Home Defence] Sqdn  (Royal Aircraft Factory FE.2b, later Avro 504N)


Period of operation:  1916 to 1919

Location:  Just NE of Tydd St Mary village, just SW of the WW2 RAF SUTTON BRIDGE aerodrome, 7nm ESE of Holbeach town centre and 10nm W of King's Lynn town centre 

Landing area:  125 acres


NOTES:
After twenty plus years spent on research for this 'Guide', I was fairly confident I had nearly all of the 1000+ WW1 flying sites in the U.K. listed. But, in 2022, Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', directed me to this location - adding that quite a bit of information was available on what I call the 'interweb'.

So, without too much doubt, there are yet a few more to be added.
