Location:  Just E of the A22, 1.5nm NNW of Comber village and 3.5nm SW of Newtownards town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown (?) to around 2013/14/15?

Runway:  13/31   340   grass

NOTES:  One aspect of this location which is most unusual, if not unique in the U.K., is the message marked out in 20 metre high letters - 'MASHDIRECT'.

Can anybody kindly offer an explanation? Does this advertise a potato based product, or even a whisky? Possibly an I.T. venture perhaps?
