Valentines Farm

VALENTINES FARM: Private airstrip

Aerial view
Aerial view

Note: This picture was obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: W of Colt Hill, S of A287, 2nm NNE of RAF ODIHAM and about 1nm SW of HOOK

Period of operation: Roughly 1984 to 1990s only? Could still be in use?

NOTES: A search on Google Earth was far from conclusive, but, there appears some evidence of a possible strip which I have listed. If this is correct it would seem the runway was 550 metres long and orientated 09/27. Can anybody confirm this?

Not to be confused with Scotland Farm which is about a mile north, just north of the M3. There was certainly a SIPA 903 operating from here before I retired from Farnborugh in 2008.

There is an existing grass strip. It seems there is an aircraft kept near the barns on a trailer. It seems it is a Spitfire.
