Operated by: Mr Richard Teverson

Location: Near Belchamp Walter, 3.5 to 4nm W of Sudbury

Period of operation: 1966 to -

Runway: 1990: 07/25    520x18  grass

2001: 07/25   520x20   grass

NOTES: Originally a much shorter strip was laid out elsewhere on the farm for operating a DH.82A Tiger Moth until the mid 1980s when the existing strip was established. Over the years more aircraft became based at the farm and it was here that Mr Teverson developed his unique Teverson Bisport tandem-seat aerobatic biplane based on the Steen Skybolt airframe

In 1977 it appears that the following aircraft were based here: D.H.82A Tiger Moth G-AIRK, and G-ANFL (?), the Tipsy T.66 Nipper R.A.45 Srs.3 G-AXLI and the Wassmer Jodel D.120 Paris-Nice G-BANU, (which perhaps wasn’t airworthy?)

A PERSONAL NOTE
I landed at WAITS FARM in the Cessna 172 G-BGIU on the !st June 1996 when advised it would be fine to pay a visit. After landing we could not find anybody around to pay a landing fee, had a scratch and departed. Later on I collected the fuselage of the Pitts S11S (G-SIIS) from WAITS FARM in my truck. I had previously collected the wings and other items from PENTLOW, and the next day delivered the lot to STAVERTON (GLOUCESTERSHIRE AIRPORT).
