NOTES: It appears from an article in Flyer magazine that Thruster Air Services based at Ginge near Wantage were intent on providing customers with a float-plane version. It appears the trials went very well. However, having had some involvement with trying to arrange landings on water in England, it is virtually impossible. Unlike Scotland, nearly all lakes and reservoirs are either privately owned or operated by corporate entitities, all of whom heavily resist any attempts to land on their property. Quite why this was the case was never, in my opinion, even slightly adequately explained.
So, it seems to me that the project was a non-starter from the outset.
