Location: Just SE of West Rainton on the A690, about 4.5nm NE of Durham city centre
Period of operation: 2006 to 2017
Runway(s): 2006: 14/32 (roughly 250 and curved) grass
2007: 14/32 250 grass 18/36 420 grass
NOTES: This is a most interesting site, starting off it appears with a short and curved runway, but with another N/S runway added about a year later, but reached by a most circuitous route. In 2018 pretty much the entire site appears to be a quarry.
If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome. Plus of course, any pictures doubly so. (Jpeg much preferred).
