West Usk Lighthouse

WEST USK LIGHTHOUSE:    Temporary helicopter sightseeing venue

Note:  The first picture was obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just NW of West Usk Lighthouse, roughly 1nm S of Newport town centre

Period of operation:  5th September 2022

NOTES:  The reason for including this location is simply to illustrate that many hundreds, (probably thousands?), of sites in the UK have been used for many, many years by helicopters engaged in local sightseeing flights. In this case the venue was being operated by Castle Air based near Liskeard in Cornwall, using their Bell 206B Jet Ranger III, G-TOYZ. For one day only?

Perhaps this venue has been used for many years? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
