Wether Fell

WETHER FELL: Hang-gliding and para-gliding site

Operated by: The Dales Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club

Location: In the Penine Uplands south of the town of Hawes on the A684

Period of operation:  ?

Taking off and landing area: Normally or at least often at Drumaldrace, atop a west facing slope at 614ft amsl

NOTES: This well used site, came to my attention in a AAIB report EW/G2007?05/04 concerning an accident which proved to be fatal involving a paraglider.

On the 26th May 2007 a competition event was being held here, (possibly a regular event?). It is well worth seeing the club web-site for additional information.
