Witham on the Hill

Note: This map only shows the position of Witham on the Hill village within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location for the gliding site, this advice will be most welcome.

WITHAM on the HILL: Gliding site

Operated by: The Perkins Gliding Club, soon to be renamed The Welland Soaring Group

Location: Near Witham on the Hill which is W of the A6121 roughly 6nm NNE of Stamford

Period of operation: 1977 to 1980

Runways: It appears they had two in operation, both grass. Are any details known?

NOTES: The Welland Soaring Group moved in 1980/81 to MIDDLETON (NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) and became the Welland Gliding Club.
