A GOOD LOOK
A look at this site on Google Earth in 2016,  (image 2003 - why are so many Google Earth images way out of date?), clearly shows evidence of the 01/19 runway, but the runway length of 640 metres was from one mature tree line to another. So, the landing distance (LDA) and take-off distance (TORA) available was clearly much less than that given to pilots flight guides. It is hard to be certain but the imagery did not suggest a runway that was then in use.

There was vague evidence, in a couple of places on the golf course, of a potential 06/24 runway.

INTRIGUING
Can anybody be kind enough to explain the history of this site. And indeed, was it ever used, and, if so, by whom?
