Woodford airstrip

WOODFORD AIRSTRIP:      Private airstrip

Note:  Almost certainly known by another name locally. Listed as WOODFORD AIRSTRIP to differentiate it from WOODFORD aerodrome in Cheshire.

Note:  The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just E of Woodford village on the A38. Just NW of Michaelwood services on the M5

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Certainly from 2006, (no sign in 2005), and 2008. Possibly longer?

Runway:  18/36   350   grass

NOTES:  In late December 2023 I was kindly contacted by Mr Dave Kurek who pointed out this location. There does not appear to be a hangar on site, so perhaps used by visiting aircraft? This said, a metal aircraft might have been based here? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
