Operated by: Mr R Hall

Location: In/near Abbotts Bromley, about 3nm NE of Rugely

Period of operation: 2000s (?) to –

Runway: 2003:  03/21   500x30   grass   (Slightly curved at SW end)

By 2005 a much better runway, just W of the original runway had been laid out:  02/22   540   grass

In around 2013 this runway had been extended to 700 metres.

NOTES: When starting the research for this 'Guide' some twenty years ago, (from 2019), I had found there was a WW2 aerodrome named ABBOTS BROMLEY which made me wonder if YEATSALL FARM is on this site? The answer is “No”, YEATSALL FARM is just SW of the ABBOTTS BROMLEY WW2 site.

At Flying For Fun at KEMBLE 2006 Mr David Crompton flew in with Aeronca 7AC G-BPGK, booking in from YEATSALL FARM, Abbots Bromley. The War P.47 replica G-BTBI was based here in 2007 at least. In 2010 a group based here brought the Van’s RV-9A G-CFMC built by Gywnne Griffith at MONA on ANGELSEY.

By 2012 things were really happening here with a Charity Wings & Wheels Event Fly-In planned for August 27th. YEATSALL.

The evidence clearly indicates that YEATSALL FARM is a base for pilots who are real enthusiasts and in effect the direct equivalent of a 1930s fully fledged aerodrome. Take a look at the list of aircraft claimed to be based here, (or stored here) in January 2012.

Whichever way you look at it a combination of traditional and modern classic light aircraft with a couple of oddities thrown in for good measure.

One of three Hindustan Pushpaks given by the late Mrs Ghandi to the Singapore Flying School, was retrieved from storage in Singapore and restored to flying condition by Peter Kelsey and Adrian Marshall at Yeatsall Farm
